Who We Are.
Following his own father’s footsteps as a builder and later a building inspector, Ted F. Limbrick began his building career in 1972 with his first project in Fredericksburg, VA. He then built residential units for Gulf Oil Company during their initial development of Reston, VA. Heritage Enterprises, Inc. was subsequently formed in 1974 with the immediate goal of providing efficient construction management services to the greater Fredericksburg area through Ted F. Limbrick's dedication to fine quality building principles and practices.
Quietly, over the past forty nine years, this commitment to building excellence and first class customer service has earned Ted F. Limbrick, Builder a reputation as one of the area's premier custom construction management firms. Chris joined up with his father over a decade ago, after successfully developing and constructing commercial and residential projects for his own companies, and the two together became the new face of Heritage Enterprises, Inc. In 2022, with a combined professional experience of eighty years, we prepare to celebrate fifty years of building the Ted F. Limbrick way.

While each of one of these completed projects is unique; whether it is an addition, renovation, historic restoration, or completely new construction, they were all approached and managed the same way, with care, concern and dedication the Ted F. Over the last half century Ted F. Limbrick has designed, managed and constructed hundreds of unique custom homes, offices, additions, remodels and renovations. He is joined by his son, Chris Limbrick, a builder for over 25 years. Together they have forged dynamic long term relationships with architects and designers, subcontractors and material suppliers, who all play a critical role in the construction process. Over the many years in business, Ted and Chris have also developed strong relationships with local building officials and inspectors in the cities and counties that they serve. This trust and teamwork is evident on every project and assures that quality is delivered and high standards are met each time.
Estimating & Billing Transparency.
Heritage Enterprises, Inc. was founded on the principles of honesty and integrity. As a family owned business, we are dedicated to delivering a quality product with care, concern and dedication. Our focus on customer service has been paramount to our success along with our complete transparency during the entire project sequence.
We provide detailed cost estimates that clearly show the project’s costs broken down into easy to follow categories. We can even provide copies of quotes and estimates that we receive from our suppliers and subcontractors. We do this because our clients pay what we pay. We simply charge a construction management fee that is based on the total cost of the project. We believe in complete estimating and billing transparency so that our clients are empowered with peace of mind.

Our attention to detail begins with the very first client meeting and extends throughout the entire construction process. We listen to the desires and concerns of our clients so that we may provide expert consultation to help them realize their dream. We pay close attention to the architectural plans so that we fully understand the merits of each project. This detailed attention is not limited to delivering a quality product, but encompasses every facet of the management service. Our attention to weather forecasts, material availability and price fluxuations, subcontractor scheduling, building code adaptations and more help us to efficiently manage each project with the goal to reach completion on time and on budget.
